The CKD developed and built the so-called "Diving goggles" in Prague. The prototypes of the diesel locomotive class T 478.3 were built in 1968. Subsequently, a total of 408 units of this striking locomotive have been assembled. From 1988, with the introduction of the EDP numbering system, the machines were designated series 753. They hauled not only passenger trains and goods trains but also provided train maintenance and construction services.

Die sogenannte Taucherbrille oder Brillenschlange wurde bei CKD in Prag entwickelt und gebaut. Die ersten Prototypen der Diesellokomotive Reihe T 478.3 entstanden 1968. Insgesamt wurden 408 Stück der markanten Lokomotive gebaut. Ab 1988, mit Einführung des EDV-Nummernsystems, erhielten die Maschinen die Reihenbezeichnung 753. Neben dem Einsatz vor Personenzügen als auch Güterzügen, waren sie darüber hinaus im Bauzugdienst anzutreffen.
